The course

The half marathon runs 21.1 km from the centre of Beinwil am See past Schloss Hallwyl, along tree-lined lakeshore paths and through vineyards to a finish at the Strandbad.

The organiser describes the route as a picture-book landscape: the castle, lakeside paths lined with trees and shrubs, vineyards and quiet spots on the water. The start is in the village centre and the finish at the lido. Water, isotonic drink and sports tea are on offer at 5, 10, 16 and 19 km, with bananas and gels, and runners may not hand in their own supplies.
