The course

The half marathon runs one lap through Schoorl, then a second through the dunes and forest of Schoorl, Hargen and Groet, via Schoorl aan Zee and towards Hargen aan Zee.

The organiser describes the 21.1 km as a round through the centre of Schoorl followed by a round through the nature of Schoorl, Hargen and Groet. From the Voorweg the route goes along the Schoorlse Zeeweg to the Julianaweg, then by the Blijdesteinsweg to Schoorl aan Zee. It enters the dune area towards Hargen aan Zee, and the last stretch goes over the Achterweg to the Heereweg in Schoorl, where the finish is. The race is on Sunday 14 February 2027.

Starts are in colour-coded boxes that match the bar on the bib, and running in an earlier box than your own is not allowed, though starting later is. The time limit for the 21.1 km is 3 hours. Drink stations stand at 5, 10, 15, 17 and 19 km and at the finish, with toilets and a medical post along the course. Clothes can be left at Sporthal de Blinkerd, and the first three men and women are honoured right after the finish.
