The organiser lists the marathon as a certified, single lap of 42.195 km. It starts on the Van Echtenkanaal Noordzijde in the centre of Klazienaveen, heading west by way of the Langestraat, the Dordsedijk and the Molenwijk, then goes through the Bargerveen toward Weiteveen and runs north along the German border. The return passes the Sportlandgoed, De Runde, the Postweg and the Willem Albertsvaart, and the finish is near the Witte Olifant in the centre. The marathon was cancelled for 2026, when the other distances ran.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
