Per the organiser, the first marathon in the Netherlands and Western Europe (first run in 1947, the 75th anniversary in 2022) is a fast course with good facilities: over the campus of the University of Twente, a piece of the F35 (a cycle highway), through the H.J. van Heekpark, and a finish back in the city centre with 80,000 supporters cheering. Start and finish are on Boulevard 1945. The course is certified under the guidelines of the Atletiekunie and AIMS, World Athletics, and the organiser’s GPX is for the 2026 course; the 2027 race is on 11 April.

Over the whole 2026 course the height stays between 23.0 m (km 28.9) and 63.9 m (km 10.7), 40.9 m of relief, and the marathon climbs 80.6 m in total. Start and finish both sit at about 48 m, so the race ends at the height it starts. The organiser calls it a fast course; the numbers fit that.
