The organiser’s outline for 21 February 2027 gives the Okinawa Prefectural Comprehensive Athletic Park in Okinawa City as both start and finish, and calls the course a Japan Association of Athletics Federations certified route. The 10 km road race shares the marathon’s road and turns around near the 5 km mark.

The 2027 outline sets the marathon start at 9 a.m. and the finish closing at 3:15 p.m., which is 6 hours 15 minutes. Once a gate on the course closes, the organiser says traffic control is lifted at once and runners step onto the pavement, take off bib and timing tag and board the collection vehicle. The field is capped at 13,500 in the marathon and 3,000 in the 10 km.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.

One in a pocket cushions a blister if one starts.

Put it on clean, dry skin and leave it until it comes off by itself.

Give a couple to whoever comes to cheer, so they are there at the km you need them.
