The organiser counts 3 federal states, 7 valleys, 6 municipalities, 14 glaciers and around 300 peaks over 3,000 m along the way, with 80 percent of the route on trails that are sometimes very technical. After the start in the centre of Kaprun the route climbs past the Gletscherbahn to the Mooserboden reservoir, crosses the dam and goes over the Kapruner Törl, then reaches Kals am Grossglockner and the Glorer Hütte at 2,642 m. The finish is on Salzburger Platz in Kaprun.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.

Put it on clean, dry skin and leave it until it comes off by itself.

Give a couple to whoever comes to cheer, so they are there at the km you need them.
