km 0 to 42.2ConditionsSix hours from the gunStart 09:00, six-hour limit counted from the gun, not from the mat.

The limit for the full marathon is measured from the starting gun, so time spent reaching the start line counts against it. The organiser asks runners who pass the limit to step onto the pavement and stop. The shorter races have a limit of one hour 30 minutes, with none set for the 5 km and 2 km.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
