Whole courseGeometryThe 2026 course was measured wrong2026 course measurement error; the organiser promises a corrected 2027 course.

On 2 September 2026 the race director wrote about a course measurement error that affected the 2026 half and full marathons. The Boston Athletic Association agreed to accept all non-adjusted times for the longer course, which left 92 runners with a Boston qualifying time; 13 runners were affected by the non-adjusted times. Athletics Canada accepted the elite placings, and two marathon course records stand.

The organiser committed to a race in 2027 that meets the highest standards of accuracy.

The organiser calls the marathon a flat and fast course and a Boston qualifier. Its page sets a time limit at the halfway mark: marathon runners and walkers must cross 96 St and Jasper Avenue by 10:00 A.M., or they are stopped there and given a half marathon finisher medal.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
