Elite and mass fields run together in a single race. The road splits at the 500 m point on Victoria Road and runners keep to the right-hand side for the 400 m counter-flow section. The finish is on Chain Memorial Road. The organiser asks runners to be at their start hub at least an hour before the gun.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
