The marathon starts in Bath, runs through Savona, Campbell, Coopers Plains and Painted Post, and finishes on Market Street in Corning.
The organiser describes the 2026 marathon as a point-to-point course that starts in Bath, travels the valley to Savona and Campbell, where the half marathon starts, and goes on through Coopers Plains and Painted Post to finish on Market Street in Corning. The last turns are “Right on Bridge, Left on Market”. The organiser calls the course fast and flat, and Boston Marathon qualifying is open on it.

Because the course is point to point, the organiser required all runners to take a bus to the marathon start. In 2026 the Corning buses left from Tioga Avenue between 5:00 and 6:30 am and the ride took 30 minutes. The Bath buses left from Pulteney Park between 5:30 and 7:00 am for a five-minute ride. The marathon started at 8:15 am. Runners had to show a bib to board, and there was no race-day bib pick-up. Spectators could not ride the buses, and the organiser handed out a clear plastic gear bag with the race pack.

The organiser’s course time limit is 6.5 hours. Marathon runners must also reach the midpoint of the course, at Campbell-Savona High School, by 3 hours 15 minutes. The half marathon, which runs the same road from Campbell, has a 7 hour limit.
