The 2026 course is a long, gentle rise from the waterfront rather than a set of hills: about 25 m by km 10, 44 m by the half-way point and 55.7 m at km 31.7. The next 3 km drop about 49 m, to about 6 m at km 34.7, and the finish is back near sea level at about 5 m.
The organiser describes the course as “flat and fast” and gives it “only 200 metres of elevation gain over 42 km”; the rise and fall above come to less.
Measured
For the 2026 race the organiser puts the start and finish together “near the Hassan II Mosque (Bd Sidi Med Ben Abdellah, opposite Rue Regraga)”, reached by tram T1 (stop “Hassan II Mosque”), bus, or on foot. The marathon goes at 7:00 for the elite runners and wave 1 (under 3 hours), and at 7:05 for wave 2 (over 3 hours). The organiser asks runners to arrive at least 45 minutes early.
Sourced
The organiser offers “three formats, one course through Casablanca” in 2026: the marathon, the half marathon and a relay of four runners over segments of about 10.5 km. The marathon has 9 aid stations from km 5 to km 40, and the half has 4, from km 5 to km 20. Marathon pacers are set for 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00 and 4:15.
The relay starts at 7:15, fifteen minutes after the marathon. It changes over at signposted zones at 10.5, 21 and 31.5 km, and the last relay runner crosses the official finish line.
