The organiser says the Baku Marathon, held for the ninth time under the slogan “Win the Wind”, was organised over 42 kilometres for the first time. It started at State Flag Square and finished at Sea Breeze. The route ran from State Flag Square along Baku Boulevard to the International Sea Port, then up Neftchilar Avenue and through White City Boulevard, 8 November Avenue, Sevgi Park, Heydar Aliyev Avenue and the BAKU Arena, out to Boyukshor and onto the Baku Ring Road to Sea Breeze.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
