The organiser puts the 38th race, on Sunday 31 May 2026, on the Prater Hauptallee, with a 5 km course, a 10 km course and a 5 km Nordic walking course.
The 38th race ran on Sunday 31 May 2026 on the Prater Hauptallee, with “Zehntausende Frauen und Mädchen auf der 5 km und 10 km Strecke” expected by the organiser. A 5 km Nordic walking course runs alongside.
Of the 5 km it says: “sie ist flach und geht mitten durch den grünen Wiener Prater”. For the 10 km it offers “das doppelte Vergnügen”, with free training plans and group training sessions for every fitness level.

The organiser’s history page dates the first race to 1988 in Laxenburg, Lower Austria, where 440 runners started. The race moved into the Prater in 1999 (“Übersiedlung in den Prater”), and “eine zusätzliche 10 km Strecke im Bewerb” came in 2003. In 2005 the field passed 10,000 and the first international elite runners started.
The 37th race, in 2025, had 28,954 women and girls; the 38th, on 31 May 2026, had 31,113 from 87 nations. The organiser’s own words are that it is “einer der weltweit größten” women’s races.
