The 2025 marathon started and finished near the Xiong'an City Computing Centre, as a closed loop, and the organiser says the course changes every year.
The 2025 race was run on 13 April 2025 and started at 7:30 at the Xiong’an City Computing Centre. At its press conference the organiser said the marathon, the half marathon and the health run all started and finished near the Computing Centre, joined as a closed loop, and that every year’s Xiong’an course is different. The marathon and half marathon ran through the start-up area of the new district, past the Central Green Valley, the Nanhe hub and the Yannan embankment.
The 2025 field was 18,000, with 3,000 in the marathon, 7,000 in the half marathon and 8,000 in the health and family run.

The organiser’s 2025 plan set up wall-hitting stations at 17.5 km in the half marathon and at 35 km in the full marathon, using music and interaction with NPC characters to ease runners’ fatigue. At the finish it offered a finish-line ceremony, a red carpet and photo spots.
