The 2024 Xiamen Haicang Half Marathon ran on 1 December with 20,000 runners from 19 countries and regions, and 98.94% of them finished.
The 2024 race was a World Athletics label event, hosted by the Xiamen municipal government. The winner of the men’s race ran 1:01:18 and the women’s winner 1:07:06, which the report calls the fastest women’s half marathon ever run in China at that time.

Along the 2024 route, cheering groups gave the half marathon a strong southern Fujian flavour: lion dancers, Gezai opera performers, a flower-pinning dance, Five Ancestors Fist demonstrations and players of classical instruments.
