The 2024 Ordos Marathon started and finished at the Wulanmulun Lake District Plaza in Kangbashi, running the lakeside road, Huhetala Road and the Culture East-West roads.
In the 24 August 2024 race runners left the Wulanmulun Lake District Plaza in Kangbashi District, ran the waterfront of the lakeside road, passed through the green corridor of Huhetala Road, and ran past the new city’s landmark buildings on the Culture East-West roads. The finish is back on the lake plaza beside the music fountain. The organisers say the course was adjusted for the 2024 race to reduce its slopes.
