The Liuzhou course starts at the Citizens' Square and runs along the river, crossing the Zhegu River Bridge and the Fenghuangling Bridge and passing Liuhou Park.
The organiser’s report on the 2026 race, run on 29 March, describes a route built on the idea of a river embracing the city, with mountains and water together. It names the Citizens’ Square (the start), the Huanjiang waterfront boulevard, the Zhegu River Bridge, the Fenghuangling Bridge and Liuhou Park as the main landmarks along the way. Runners know the route as the “thumbs-up course”.

The organiser’s report on the 2026 race lists the “music fuel stations” along the course. A rock band, the city’s percussion association and a women’s folk orchestra with zither and bamboo flute took turns to play, and cheering squads lined the road. The organiser also set aside a limited set of places for runners who had missed the draw and entered without it.
