For 2025 the start stayed at Wuyi Square. Runners went straight up Wuyi Beilu to Dongjie and turned west, which cut two turns from the opening. With the rebuilt Minjiang Jiefang Bridge finished, the route crossed the river there, which reduced the ups and downs over the whole course.
