The organiser’s 2027 rules name the route in order. It starts at Haitang Yanyu Park and runs to a turn under the Chaotianmen Bridge, back past the park, over the Chang’an Bridge and past the Meidiya Cheng junction, then over the Lijiatuo Bridge to a turn at the Ronghui Jiangshan junction. The return is the same way, over the Lijiatuo and Chang’an bridges, and the finish is back at the park. The rules put the race on Nanbin Road and Babin Road, along the south bank of the Yangtze.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
