The half marathon starts at Mírové náměstí and runs through the city centre, the industrial districts of Ústí and the Spolchemie chemical works, which stops production for one day a year to open its gates to runners.
The organiser describes a mix of city atmosphere and industrial backdrops, with stretches that runners do not normally get to enter. The course is certified and fully closed to traffic.

The festival’s competitive races drew more than 6,500 runners from 67 nations, and another 2,000 or more took part in the non-competitive categories, for almost 9,000 in all. Simon Boch won the half marathon, and the 2026 edition was the last of the four scored half marathons in the EuroHeroes series.
