Split times are taken every 5 km and at the half way mark. A runner past 3:00 at 21.1 km or past 4:15 at 30 km is disqualified, so the pace that matters is the one held through the middle of the race. The 2027 race starts at 9:00 on Sunday 12 September.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
