The organiser calls it a historic route and gives the share of flat road as 91%. The 5K and 10K start from the same quay at 5:20 and the half marathon at 5:00; the organiser pitches the 5K as a family run at sunrise over old Recife. The 2027 race is the second edition.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
