Course elevation profile, 8× vertical exaggeration Elevation along the course from km 0 to km 42. The trace runs between 3 and 25 metres, a range of 22 metres, drawn at 8 times vertical exaggeration so the shape is legible. Smoothed over 1 km before this profile was derived. An unsmoothed urban surface carries the buildings and would assert a climb that is not there. The dashed stretches are bridge decks: כביש החוף, km 4.5 to 4.6; כביש החוף, km 25.3 to 25.4; אלנבי, km 36.9 to 37.1. A bare-earth model reads the ground or the water beneath a bridge, not the deck the runner is on, so those runs are interpolated between the ground either side rather than measured, and they under-report the real climb across a span.

The organiser puts the start and finish area at Dado Beach in Haifa. It describes the race as running along the Bay of Haifa with the Carmel as the backdrop, and its tagline for the 2026 race on 20 November is “the race between the mountain and the sea”. The route page calls the courses fast loops, mostly flat, along the Haifa coastline.

km 0 to 42.2GradientFlat, with one bump near km 343 to 25 m above sea level; the one real bump, to about 25 m, is near km 34.

Along the bay the course sits at or below about 10 m for roughly 84% of its length, and the start and finish are both at about 4 m. The high point, about 25 m, comes near km 34, and the low point, about 3 m, near km 37.7, so the 4 km after the bump drop back to sea level.

The short rises over the whole race add up to 73 m of climbing.

Measured

The start area and expo at Dado Beach open at 5:00, and the marathon goes off at 6:30 on Friday 20 November 2026, ahead of the 10K at 6:45 and the half marathon at 7:45. The organiser closes the course at 12:30, which it gives as the end of the event, and says the route is designed to be open to beginners aiming to finish inside that time.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.

Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.

Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.
