The organiser describes a course through "the many diverse neighborhoods including the scenic Inner Harbor waterfront area, historic Federal Hill and charming Fells Point", starting at 8am from Paca and Camden Streets and finishing on Pratt Street.
The organiser’s Marathon page calls the course “fair yet challenging” and lists the Inner Harbor waterfront, Federal Hill and Fells Point, and says the route “travels through the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore right past the penguin exhibit”. The finish is a “left turn onto Pratt Street to a finish in the shadow of the USS Constellation”, followed by a celebration along the waterfront promenade through McKeldin Square, West Shore Park and Rash Field. The course is certified as #MD23001LMJ.
The organiser’s street-by-street sheet for 2026 starts the marathon at the corner of Paca Street and Camden Street, and finishes it on Pratt Street between Charles and Light Streets. Race day is 17 October 2026 and the marathon starts at 8am.

Race fuel
One every 40 minutes, by the clock:
Under about 75 minutes most runners need no gel: water at the aid stations does it.
For your long training runs:
Our pick: SiS BETA Fuel gel, box of 6, strawberry and lime. 40 g of carbohydrate a gel, about twice a usual gel, from two kinds of sugar your body takes up side by side. Enough for race day and two test long runs.
Easy to forget on race morning: pack them with your bib the night before.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.
Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.
Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.

Holds your bib without safety pins through your top, with loops for up to 8 gels.

One in a pocket cushions a blister if one starts.
Put it on clean, dry skin and leave it until it comes off by itself.
