All four distances start and finish at the Hoa Lu ancient capital in Trang An, and the organiser says each one passes historic sites including the Temple of King Le Dai Hanh and Bai Dinh Pagoda.
Trang An sits in a UNESCO mixed World Heritage area, and the organiser describes the 2026 race as the largest run in its core zone. Start and finish for every distance are at the Hoa Lu ancient capital. The organiser says all four courses cross landmark sites, among them the old capital, the temple of King Le Dai Hanh and Bai Dinh Pagoda, on a wide, flat road.

Race fuel
One every 40 minutes, by the clock:
Under about 75 minutes most runners need no gel: water at the aid stations does it.
For your long training runs:
Our pick: SiS BETA Fuel gel, box of 6, strawberry and lime. 40 g of carbohydrate a gel, about twice a usual gel, from two kinds of sugar your body takes up side by side. Enough for race day and two test long runs.
Easy to forget on race morning: pack them with your bib the night before.
Order by 25 October to test them on two long runs first.
