The course passes the Capitole square early on, around kilometre 2.5. The organiser also puts its bib pickup village there.

Course elevation profile, 8× vertical exaggeration Elevation along the course from km 0 to km 42. The trace runs between 134 and 169 metres, a range of 35 metres, drawn at 8 times vertical exaggeration so the shape is legible. Smoothed over 1 km before this profile was derived. An unsmoothed urban surface carries the buildings and would assert a climb that is not there. The dashed stretches are bridge decks: Passerelle Anita Conti, km 5.8 to 6.1; Chemin de la Loge, km 6.7 to 6.9; Chemin de la Loge, km 7.5 to 7.9; Passerelle Robert Poujade, km 16.1 to 16.4; Allée du Professeur Camille Soula, km 17.7 to 18.1; (unnamed span), km 21.4 to 21.5. A bare-earth model reads the ground or the water beneath a bridge, not the deck the runner is on, so those runs are interpolated between the ground either side rather than measured, and they under-report the real climb across a span.

The organiser’s marathon page calls it the Marathon des Géants and says the route takes the Piste des Géants. It lists the place du Capitole, the Canal du Midi, the Cité de l’Espace, the Oncopole, the ENAC and the Île du Ramier among the places it passes. The organiser also says the complete route for 2026 is still to come and may change with permits and works. For the metro on race morning it recommends Jean Jaurès.

Toulouse starts at about 143 m and finishes at about 152 m. The organiser quotes a positive elevation of 217 m for the marathon; a 1 km window counts the sustained rises, not every short rise a watch adds up, so the two figures differ. The course may change with permits and works, as the organiser says on its marathon page.
