The finish and the village are in Villefranche-sur-Saône, but the start is in Fleurie, so runners take the shuttle from the Parc Expo. The organiser runs it from 6:15 to 7:15. In Fleurie a covered gym is open for changing and waiting out the cold, and a drop bag is carried from the start to the finish.

The waves go at 8:30, 8:40 and 8:50 and the time limit is 7 h 30. The organiser also lists four pacers (3:15, 3:30, 3:45 and 4:00) and a podium for the scratch results at 13:00.
