km 0 to 42.2LandmarkThe old town and KirchbergA route that links the old town on its sandstone cliffs with Kirchberg.

The organiser describes Luxembourg as a small and fine capital with a historic old town on steep sandstone cliffs and a lively banking and finance centre on Kirchberg, and says the marathon builds bridges between the districts of the city. Start, bib collection, the Expo42 and the pasta party are all at LUXEXPO THE BOX.

With a marathon entry the organiser lets runners decide during the race whether to run the full marathon or only the half, with no refund of the entry fee for choosing the half. A runner entered in the half marathon can only run that distance.
