The organiser’s course page puts the start in “the iconic and lively Beale Street district”, at B.B. King Boulevard and Beale Street, and the finish “with a downhill on Union Ave. adjacent to the finish festival in AutoZone Park”.
Between them the page lists “Riverside Drive and the stunning Tom Lee Park” with a view of the Mississippi riverfront and the Hernando de Soto bridge, “the run through the St. Jude campus”, then historic neighborhoods, block parties and “one-loop through Overton Park”.

The half marathon takes the same route to the campus and then turns for an out and back on North Parkway before the return to the finish.

The schedule gives the marathon and half marathon start as 8 a.m. at B.B. King Boulevard and Beale Street, and the finish line and AutoZone Park hospitality close at 4 p.m. The organiser lists the average race-day high as 53°F and the low as 36°F.
The marathon requires runners to be 16 or older. The organiser’s page lists the next race weekend as Saturday 4 December 2027.

Race fuel
One every 40 minutes, the orange marks on the profile. Memphis stays within 23 m75 ft of height, so they go by the clock:
Under about 75 minutes most runners need no gel: water at the aid stations does it.
For your long training runs:
Our pick: SiS BETA Fuel gel, box of 6, strawberry and lime. 40 g of carbohydrate a gel, about twice a usual gel, from two kinds of sugar your body takes up side by side. Enough for race day and two test long runs.
Easy to forget on race morning: pack them with your bib the night before.
Order by 14 November to test them on two long runs first.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.
Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.
Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.

Holds your bib without safety pins through your top, with loops for up to 8 gels.
Clip the bib on the night before, so it goes on with your shorts in the morning.

One in a pocket cushions a blister if one starts.
Put it on clean, dry skin and leave it until it comes off by itself.
