The organiser describes the AIMS-certified course as a loop around Parliament House, then Telopea Park, Kings Avenue and Parkes Way, and a climb up Anzac Parade towards the Australian War Memorial, which it calls one of the standout moments. The route comes back through Barton along State Circle and Adelaide Avenue into Weston Park, runs along Alexandrina Drive beside Lake Burley Griffin, and finishes on King Edward Terrace after State Circle and Brisbane Avenue.
