The organiser describes the first 2.5 km as a tough start up to the Royal Palace and then a light climb to Frogner stadion, where the first drinks station stands. The course then loops around Frognerparken on gravel before it heads down toward Bygdøy Allé, where the organiser says you can win back time lost on the hills. The road is at about 40 m at 2.5 km and about 6 m by 7.5 km.
Measured
The run goes through Akershus Fortress on Kongens gate just after 7.5 km, a sharp left onto Akershusstranda, then some tight turns and small rises into Karl Johans gate. From Egertorget the finish is 100 to 150 m ahead, downhill.
Sourced
Anyone turning 13 or older in 2027 can enter, and finishing times usually run from 29 to 90 minutes. The 2027 race is on 24 April, with a 5 km on the same day.

Race fuel
One every 40 minutes, the orange marks on the profile, by the clock:
Under about 75 minutes most runners need no gel: water at the aid stations does it.
For your long training runs:
Our pick: SiS BETA Fuel gel, box of 6, strawberry and lime. 40 g of carbohydrate a gel, about twice a usual gel, from two kinds of sugar your body takes up side by side. Enough for race day and two test long runs.
Easy to forget on race morning: pack them with your bib the night before.

An invisible layer before the start keeps seams, straps and shoes from rubbing skin raw.
Put it on before you leave for the start: heels and toes, inner thighs, under a bra or heart-rate strap.
Try it on a long run first, like everything you use on race day.

Holds your bib without safety pins through your top, with loops for up to 8 gels.
Clip the bib on the night before, so it goes on with your shorts in the morning.
